Irvine Barclay Theatre is ushering in its 35th season with an eclectic mix of world-class music, thought-provoking conversations, family programming and treasured holiday traditions. Known for its intimate setting and exceptional acoustics, the Barclay continues its legacy of presenting internationally renowned artists and culturally significant performances that appeal to audiences of all ages.

Tangle News: Live! A Gathering of the Tangle Community
Oct. 24, 2025, 8 p.m.
A live deep dive into today’s most urgent conversations, featuring Tangle Media founder Isaac Saul with Kmele Foster, Alex Thompson and Ana Kasparian. The evening blends political analysis, debate and audience Q&A. Tickets are $34 to $169.
Jump in the Line! A Musical Celebration of Harry Belafonte with René Marie
Oct. 25, 2025, 8 p.m.
Grammy-nominated vocalist René Marie honors the music and legacy of Harry Belafonte with classics including “Jump in the Line” and “Day O!” Tickets are $34 to $127.

Oct. 26, 2025, 5 p.m.
Internationally celebrated violinist Chee-Yun performs on her rare 1669 Francesco Ruggieri violin. Tickets are $34 to $110.
Sarod Virtuoso Amjad Ali Khan with Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash
Nov. 1, 2025, 8 p.m.
An evening with sarod legend Amjad Ali Khan and his sons, showcasing seven generations of Indian classical tradition. Tickets are $49 to $134.
Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System
Nov. 2, 2025, 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
A family musical adventure from TheaterWorksUSA based on the beloved book and TV series. Recommended for ages 4 to 10. Tickets are $25.50 to $53.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s Wild and Swingin’ Holiday Party
Nov. 30, 2025, 5 p.m.
The annual holiday favorite returns with high-energy renditions of “Jingle Bells,” “Run, Run Rudolph,” and more. Tickets are $59 to $189.
The Nutcracker – Festival Ballet Theatre
Dec. 6–24, 2025
A full-length, traditional staging of the holiday classic featuring Festival Ballet Theatre’s professional dancers and guest artists. Tickets are $54 to $74.
Swingin’ Through the Holidays: The Barclay Jazz & Beyond Orchestra
Dec. 10, 2025, 8 p.m.
A big-band holiday celebration led by Shelly Berg with Ann Hampton Callaway and Kirk Whalum. Tickets are $34 to $155.
Kings Return Presents: We Four Kings Holiday Show
Dec. 11, 2025, 8 p.m.
Viral vocal group Kings Return performs soulful a cappella holiday arrangements. Tickets are $34 to $105.
Linda Eder – Christmas Stays the Same
Dec. 18, 2025, 8 p.m.
Broadway and concert star Linda Eder returns with a concert of holiday, pop and stage favorites. Tickets are $49 to $170.

Newport Beach Film Festival 2025: ‘Blue Moon’ Shines on Opening Night

The 26th Newport Beach Film Festival opened with a gala screening of Richard Linklater’s Blue Moon, with the film’s composer Graham Reynolds in attendance. The evening began with the world premiere of They, the directorial debut short film by Renée Zellweger, followed by a live Awards Chatter conversation presented by The Hollywood Reporter, where Jacob Elordi received the Maverick Award.
This video captures the red carpet arrivals, filmmaker appearances, Gregg Schwenk, co-founder and CEO of the Newport Beach Film Festival, and the opening night atmosphere in Newport Beach.
The Festival runs through October 23 with international films, premieres, special events and in-depth filmmaker conversations.
